Deborah LMS Photo.jpg

Deborah Salame

Administrator and Dressmaker

Deborah is an expert in the world of dance. The mother of four daughters who all began dancing at a very young age, Deborah wanted her girls to experience something that she never got the chance to do as a child. She wanted them to learn about showmanship, dedication, perseverance, teamwork and to encourage them to build their self-confidence.

The family’s dance journey began in 1987, when Deborah met Jan Dolinski, the owner of a Perth dance school, who allowed Deborah to lend a hand around the studio – sewing costumes, cleaning and doing admin work – to subsidise the attendance fee payments for her girls.

Deborah is a dressmaking wizard and knows the particulars of the dance world inside and out, having helped in an administration and design capacity in dance studios for more than 30 years. Being a self-confessed perfectionist meant that Deborah’s costumes were – and still are – of a high standard, being exceptional quality garments at affordable prices.
Deborah is a qualified Educator in Outside School Hours Care with a keen passion for working with children and their families. As part of the team at LMS, her aim is to assist the children, their families and the teachers in having a comfortable and stress-free dance experience – so everyone can enjoy the special moments in dance, without the stresses that can come with it.
